Just clearing out a three-year-old journal entry.

Well, the new year is afoot, and it's time to get back on my lazy butt and work on the second draft of the story.  If any of you took me up on my request and started to read through the first draft, I'd love to know what you thought, in general or detail.  If you weren't able to get far in, I'd love to know why (not your favorite genre?  lost your interest?  The writing was poor?). Thanks very much for the feedback I've received so far.  Even the most casual of comments has been very helpful!

My first novel is done - the first draft anyway.  (And just in time for NaNoWriMo, even if I have been working on it in one manifestation or another for the last ten years.) Now that I have a son, I won't make the clichéd comparison, but... it does feel a little like... Allow me just to say that I'm excited and exhausted and pleased.
